Our partner in teaching flamenco
Quality and personalized attention – these are
the mainstays of our partner school which has progressively become a
well-respected center where a wide variety of courses are offered, from
the learning of flamenco dance (both technique and choreography) to
flamenco guitar and the rhythms of compás & palmas.
The school was found in 1994 and has been
growing since then to teach an average of 600 students a year without
loosing its familiar character.
One of the main objectives of our partner
school has been to keep a high-quality profile. The reason for this is the strong belief of their leaders that the encounter with and
learning of flamenco required a specialized approach oriented to
personalization and adaptation to each of the students.

For this reason
the school avoids large groups. The number of students is limited to
seven students per class, and personalized programs are designed for learning
the different forms of flamenco, always including the presence of a
guitarist and singer with the objective of familiarizing students with
the flamenco “ambience”.

Furthermore,
taking into account that the art of flamenco is an integral part of a
specific cultural context, the teachers at our partner school
complement the study of flamenco in its many facets with a cultural
program that includes attending flamenco shows, flamenco cultural clubs
and festivals, as well as cultural tours of Seville and its environs with
the aim of familiarizing the students with the many landscapes of
Andalusia. The students are invited to use the library and internet access points the school provides.

Finally, to make things easier, each monday
teachers take their students out to show them around and help them find
the interesting and beautiful places Sevilla holds for them. Besides
that, each student is provided with an agenda of the actual flamenco
performances and a list with stores that sell flamenco articles.
