Dance
LOURDES RECIO:
An intense dancer, with ample professional experience, she began her flamenco studies under the guidance of the great maestro Manolo Marín, broadening her apprenticeship with other great artists such as Mario Maya and Eva la Yerbagüena.
Lourdes has participated in many presentations and shows together with the beforementioned Manolo Marín ("Sangre de la Primavera", "Azabache" -presented in the 1992 Expo), under the direction of Salvador Távora (“Las Bacantes”, “Alhucema”) or with Cristina Hoyos's company (“Yerma”) among others. Lourdes has danced in almost all the existing Seville tablaos.
FELIPE MATO:
A young and complete dancer from Seville, Felipe Mato has had an intensive academic formation in Spanish dance and classical ballet, having studied, among other dance schools, in Seville's Conservatorio de Danza, and in Matilde Coral's school.
Devoted to professional dance since the age of 14, he has spread his art in such farflung places as Mallorca, Lanzarote, Barcelona and Naples (Italy), participating in Seville's Xth Bienal de Flamenco, in Mario Maya's company.
Finalist in Concurso de Arte Córdoba 2001.
Mª ANGELES GABALDON:
Winner of the 2002 “Desplante”, the maximum prize for Flamenco Dance awarded at the prestigious Festival Internacional del Cante de Las Minas, María Ángeles Gabaldón already has impressive experience in the world of flamenco dance despite her youth.
Great maestros such as Manolo Marín, El Mimbre, Javier Latorre, Eva la Yerbabuena, Belén Maya among others have had a hand in her development. She has acquired knowledge not only in flamenco, but in Spanish Dance and Classical Dance as well.
María Ángeles Gabaldón has demonstrated her elegant style on a multitude of stages throughout the world – Japan, México, Australia, Turkey, Germany, Poland, Switzerland... – and in such important companies as that of Pilar Távora.
It is a great privilege to be able to include this top star of Flamenco Dance at Taller Flamenco.

Mª CARMEN RASERO ("LA TRIANERITA"):
An advanced student from Matilde Coral's school where she was studying from 1982
until 1995. She has received instruction from such great maestros as Matilde Coral, Javier Latorre and Mario Maya.
LIDIA VALLE:
The home town of Lidia, Moron de la Frontera (Sevilla) is famous for its special art and Lidia caries it as a heritage. She has a solid education in classic spanish dance as well as in Flamenco. Her teachers have been: Manolo Marín, Juana
Amaya, Israel Galván.
Lidia was one of the finalists of the XXVIII. National Festival "Cante de las Minas" and has been performing her art on national and international stages. With the company of Ángeles Gabaldon she had her premiere on the XIII. Bienal of Flamenco in Seville.
She gives dance and technique classes (including those with the so called "bata de cola", the long flamenco dress with volants) for all levels.
ESTHER VÉLEZ:
This young flamenco dancer was born in Seville and was trained by such important teachers as Carmen Montiel, Javier Latorre, Mario Maya, Juana
Amaya or Alejandro Granados. Her talent was obvious from the most early age as she started performing at tablaos, stages and festivals throughout the world. Her last production was Yerma by Cristina Hoyos.
Due to her great professionality and profound knowledge of dance and flamenco technique, Esther guarantees for acquisition of dance skills on all levels.
LIDIA CHAMERO:
Lidia Chamero started dancing at the tender age of eight at José Calvo's dance school in her hometown of Jaén. She soon became a member of the folkloric group Almanzara with whom she toured France, Argentina and many parts of Spain.
At the age of 19 she moved to Seville to broaden her knowledge at Matilde Coral's dance school, also taking classes from maestros such as “El Mimbre”, Merche Esmeralda and Eva la Yerbabuena.
For several years now Lidia has been concentrating on her work as Flamenco Dance teacher, becoming a talented instructor in the numerous styles she dominates.
OLGA VILLALOBOS:
She lives for Flamenco, she soon found out as a child that flamenco would be her life. And she´s pursued this dream, first studying to become a teacher and then unofficially in the best schools and with the very best teachers.
She´s danced for various dance companies, and currently does both dancing and teaching, with which she´s truly devoted.
MANUEL ESPINOSA, LITO: In flamenco since he was young, his musical talent soon took him to the best flamenco academies to accompany dance and from then on, first line artists.
He´s in the new flamenco guitar creation tendencies and currently accompanies the singer Alicia Gil.
His progression is very interesting, starting off at the purest of flamenco´s roots to contemporary tendencies.
MANUEL BERRAQUERO:
After studying at Seville’s Conservatorio Superior de Música, he devoted five years to studying Dance Accompaniment at Matilde Coral and Rafael el Negro’s dance school.
He has accompanied and recorded records with artists the likes of El Pali, María del Monte, Juanito Valderrama, El Mistela, Paco Toronjo, El Cabrero...combining his work as professional musician with teaching flamenco guitar not only in Spain, but abroad as well. His musical contribution to various TV, radio and cinema ads is also noteworthy.
Since 1988 and up to the present, he has been a member of the Compañía de Teatro “La Cuadra de Sevilla” with whom he has performed in the best theaters in more than forty different countries throughout the world.
FRANCISCO MORALES, "EL PULGA":
Flamenco guitarrist. He is learner of the guitar, this vocation goes together with is inherent talent for the rythims of flamenco. “Compás” and rythim bear no secrets for “El Pulga”. He has been teaching at our partner school since `94, he juggles this with his Flamenco company “Serva la Bari” in Portugal.
He currently teaches guitar and compas & palmas at our partner school.
MANUEL PÉREZ HURTADO:
In the year 1996, he takes part of Cristina Hoyos Company , performing for the first time Arsa y Toma. In 1997, he combines his work at Cristina Hoyos´ with several collaborations with the Compañía Andaluza, under María Pagés direction.
In 1998, Manuel participates in Al compás del tiempo premier by Cristina Hoyos and also cooperates in T.V. together with Fernando Romero, Isabel Bayón and Rosario Toledo.
In 1999 he is part of Javier Latorre Company, introducing Ambivalencia flamenco show and one year later he performs for the first time and within La Bienal de Sevilla, Bachdaliana by Fernando Romero.
In the year 2001 he performs Pura Intención in the Gran Teatro de Córdoba under Javier Latorre direction and the following year , in La Bienal de Sevilla again, he plays in Del Alma, conducted by Isabel Bayón.
As a teacher, he combines his innate talent for flamenco music, his knowledge and his patience when teaching.
Compás & Palmas
DAVID MORÁN, "EL GAMBA DE JEREZ":
Flamenco artist from Jerez raised in the popular quarter of Santiago, he lives flamenco with passion during his childhood. Cantaor who represents the purest style of his hometown. He has seen the greatest performers acting at his peña Tio José de Paula. With a vast training he entirely dedicates himself to flamenco singing, and combining his lessons in our partner school with performances in several dance companies and in flamenco tablaos of Seville.
He is currently a compas and clapping teacher in our partner school.

OLIVIA MOLINA:
A young singer with ample professional experience. Forever a learner and a lover of the art, she knows it well, but more importantly, she knows how to transmit it.
Her career has been forged as a soloist, but she has also been involved in accompanying many flamenco shows. We can hear her voice in various albums such as Duquendes "Samaruco", Arcangel´s "La Calle Perdía" or Juan Carlos Romero´s “Romero”.
Percussion
CARLI DE JEREZ:
Carli de Jerez was born in the unequalled “Santiago” barrio, in Jerez de la Frontera. Impregnated with the sounds and rhythm of his land, he soon became interested in the Cajón flamenco. His interest in flamenco has made him learn from the best dancers in the art.
His learning process was forged in numerous parties and reunions, and later professionally in groups, companies and flamenco ballets. He has been influenced by the likes of Jose Antonio Gala “Gali” and the master of Trabilitran Diego Carrasco, becoming their most talented student.
